Vienna-based indie artist, ViennaCC returns with an EP, Connected Hearts, bringing the punchiest of pop, rock and dance through six tracks. With the world troubled by destruction and distractions, amidst AI slop, the songwriter, producer, music video director, photographer, and visual artist, brings to you love and companionship from his own studio, to reconnect listeners to what is really real at the end of the day.

Connected Hearts opens with the bounding world of “App World” where the singer with his thick voice sings robotically over catchy, pounding drums, trying to portray the numbing sensations we are left with after being overstimulated from endless scrolling. Satirising the situation, he sings, “If you want some fun, there’s an app for that.” Things take a more positive turn from that, in the upcoming track “Here You Are Right” where he finds connection finally.

Thereafter, narrator indulges in the intimacy of romance in “Hold Me Tight.” Meanwhile, in “Let’s Go Out for Dinner,” he brushes off his lover’s accusations towards him and her insecurities to treat her to a dinner date. Next up, in “When I See You,” he sings about how the “sidewalks sing, the lampposts play a song, the church bells ring,” when he sees her. It’s like the world shifts and transforms with this one person beside him. This is how love can uplift one.

Finally, “Hope Dies Last” brings a different tune with a catchy, jolly guitar melody relaxingly strumming. As the drums come beating up the momentum, he sings, “Like a phoenix I would rise above, with a heart full of hope and a soul full of love.” It shows how love can make all worth the fight.

Bringing in warm, upbeat, and vibrant melodies alongside pop-rock hooks, inspired by classic rock icons like Jimi Hendrix and Deep Purple and classical masters like Beethoven and Strauss, Connected Hearts reminds you that love is what really keeps us sane when we are overwhelmed. Oh, and apparently, those thumping drums also works a number on our artist for his low blood pressure.
