Daisy and Dandelions by Blue Painted Flag: Review
An ambient melody flows in “Daisy and Dandelions”, Blue Painted Flag’s dream pop tune. The entirety of the song is wrapped around resonant guitar pieces that have a delightful reverb, along with a poetic singer who captures your senses from start to finish. Blue Painted Flag’s music brought a smile to my face because their performance on this single was quite atmospheric, and I’m a sucker for tracks pertaining to that aura.
Ever since the shoegaze, LoFi, and dream pop popularity skyrocketed in the music biz, more and more artists have been gaining inspiration from them. The result was an abundance of indie artists who began to make music that calms one’s soul, and further contributes to the healing mechanic of music. In a similar fashion, “Daisy and Dandelions” by Blue Painted Flag conform to that musical pattern and I couldn’t be more delighted. The song exhibits an ambiance that is quite charming. Particularly the singer’s approach to the tune. Their vocal tone is a bit on the baritone side and syncs perfectly with the grounded nature of the guitar. Speaking of which, the chord structures are simply stunning. It’s not extravagant, but rather minimal, and that adds to the overall cadence of “Daisy and Dandelions.”
One of the solid aspects of Blue Painted Flag’s song is in its chorus sections. The simplicity and subtlety of that segment are indicators of the artist’s flair and ultimately captivates the listener.
