day&night by Taylor Roche: Review

There are certain songs that make you go ‘meh’, and then there are bangers like day&night by Taylor Roche, it’s a special song you guys. You’ve heard of rock your world, well this song will groove your universe. From start to finish it is pure eargasm. I don’t know which part to start with first, cause it’s all so well produced and polished. Right, the bassline, man sensational stuff! It’s just the right notes, not showing off, but not too minimal either. The synths are just an extra layer of spiciness, to this already great song. Taylor’s voice on this track is very clean and melodic. He manages to really pull you into the song, and you cannot resist this charm I tell you!

The song’s overall structure and transitions are very cinematic. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is played on the season finale of a hit show, or maybe the climactic scene of a blockbuster hit. There’s just a wonderful catchy atmosphere around ‘day&night’ and it’s tough not to appreciate it. I’ve listened to the song several times now, and each time it hits differently (I mean that in the best possible way). I wish I could rewind time to when I first heard it! Taylor Roche, who is quickly ascending to become New Zealand’s most prominent TikTok superstar, is always one step ahead of the game by transforming popular music into viral videos that receive millions of views. New music from the Auckland-based pop/RnB artist, “day&night,” a defiant 80’s synth-pop triumph portraying a shattered love dangling by a thread, was released on August 19th.
