DECAPITATED, a Polish tech death metal band, will release โCancer Culture,โ their eighth studio album, on May 27 via Nuclear Blast Records. Below is the official music video for the albumโs first single, the title tune.
Wacaw, the decapitated guitarist โโThe video was shot last December in Pock, Poland,โ Kietyka explained. This time, weโve partnered with Mateusz Winkiel, the director of Mania Studio, with whom weโve collaborated closely on the entire scenario. It was an enjoyable experience, and I hope our followers will appreciate the workโs ultimate result and the vital message we attempted to convey in this image.โ
โIt wasnโt simple to pick the first single from โCancer Culture,'โ Vogg previously commented of the new track. Each song has its own distinct vibe, which we want to showcase as soon as possible and be proud of. Because โCancer Cultureโ is the albumโs first song, we thought it would be a great way to introduce you to new music. Itโs the first chapter of the record, so you know what to anticipate.โ

โTomasz Zed Zalewski (โAnticultโ) was the albumโs principal engineer; David Castillo was in charge of mixing; and Ted Jensen was in charge of mastering.โ For the first time, we collaborated on the cover with Fabio Timpanaro, an Italian artist whose work perfectly encapsulates the story we sought to communicate through visual art.

DECAPITATED was formed in 1996 and has since established itself as one of the international pioneers in the โtech deathโ genre. DECAPITATED has released seven studio albums over the course of its 26-year history, which are widely regarded as some of the most influential death metal recordings of the twenty-first century.
Following the retirement of Phil Demmel, Kietyka has been filling in on second guitar in MACHINE HEAD since 2019.
