Finnish dance music tastemaker, Rony Rex has cooked up a sonic feast with his latest EP, Dopamine that will have you sweating, shaking, and begging for more.
We kick things off with “Ugly,” a track that throws subtlety out the window. You get sharp beats, shimmering synths, and a deep, sultry spoken word intro by Nigerian American Benni Ola all in one uninhibited dance floor song.
“Papi” features the cocksure vocals of Kitty from The Pom-Poms and Teen Suicide. This playful anthem gives you Fat EDM beats, a deep bassline, and swooning synths for Kitty’s cunning storytelling as she lays out her plans to drain your bank account… all with a smile, of course.
“I Could Be” is a rollercoaster of emotions wrapped in a high-energy soundscape. Desperate pleas and self-doubt soar over a frenzy of uptempo synths, creating a perfect anthem for those who have questioned their worth in a relationship. But here’s the twist: by the end, Ravenna claims her power, declaring “I know that I’m good enough.” Yas queen, preach!
The EP closes with “Shapes.” This track takes a more atmospheric approach, with a muffled, moody intro that builds into a shimmering, pulsating soundscape. Australian artist LÂLKA’s ethereal vocals echo hypnotically, creating a blissful immersion to start swaying on the dance floor under a disco ball.
Let the ingenious DJ, Rony Rex heighten your dopamine levels for a night of unlimited fun with his latest EP.
