Doux Instants by Raynald Grenier: Review
Raynald Grenier is a solo pianist and a true veteran whose career dates back to the ’80s! His tune “Doux Instants” incorporates a refreshing piano piece that anyone can resonate with. The aspects of classical music send a special signal to your nerves that immediately spread a rhythm across your body. Quite similarly in “Doux Instants”, Raynald managed to create a deep cadence with a healing aura.
The entire song is like a consistent flow of notes. Each follows after one other in a spectacular motion, all forming a gripping picture. Immersing yourself in a book or painting idyllic portraits taps your brain into a trance, and relatively classical piano delves with it as well. “Doux Instants” starts with a heartfelt arrangement kind of like a whisper. Eventually, when the transitions enter, the vibrations amp up and the wholeness of the song is felt. Nearing the end the piano’s lower octaves are expressed thoroughly and it’s a charming way to exit. In addition to that, I admired the production quality of Raynald’s tune. When one sequence came to a short halt, its weight was felt, like a reverb effect. So even though it’s just one instrument the audience’s attention is captured by its significant presence.
“Doux Instants” pertains to a modern-day take on classical norms and practices. The artist’s style is cinema-worthy, and I can absolutely imagine the track fitting in with an animated film for instance. Altogether a breathtaking track for any piano enthusiast!
