Dreaducation boasts Mighty Joshua’s captivating vocals with an all-star cast of collaborators. Legendary jazz saxophonist Plunky Branch brings the mastery of soul and funk, while renowned reggae guitarist Ras Mel and Richmond’s own DJ Williams lay down infectious grooves.
The album kicks off with the brilliant intro, “Beware” and its rapping percussion and tight drum beats. The irresistible organic vibe is enhanced with Mighty Joshua’s raspy vocals delivering a catchy, anthemic warning. Soulful harmonies expand the musical field, meanwhile, the saxophone seals the deal funkily.
The energy dips slightly to be replaced with affective romance in “Love Is The Answer.” Sultry female harmonies and Mighty Joshua’s laid-back, soulful delivery contrast with the energetic instrumentals.
