From the very onset, the lead track โYou Had To Be There,โ sets a tone of futuristic dystopia swirling in atmospheric synths. Meanwhile, Tom Murrayโs spectral vocals create an enigmatic and mystical aura with a tightening and overpowering anxiety.
The rest of Dreaming of Sleep has Tulipomania expressing levels of outrage and despondency in wildering shades of music. Closing Dreaming of Sleep is โTime Will Tell,โ with its peaceful cinematic music paired with sharp, smashing drums. The singerโs refrain of โdreaming/ dreaming of sleepโ echoes throughout, creating a hauntingly beautiful and exhausted aftermath of fears, anxiety, and despondency. This exhaustion calls you to leave your worries to time because, as the title suggests, time will tell.
