Dreams of Delvaux Release Stellar Electronica EP “Air Without Gravity”
Jon Aldersea and Rachel Poole form Dreams of Delvaux. They are both accomplished musicians and creative individuals who happened to meet one another. Jon is an experienced visual artist who also plays drums professionally. Rachel performs on multiple instruments, sings, helps produce music, and interprets British Sign Language.
Jon and Rachel have formed a band under the name Dreams of Delvaux, which is a reference to the surrealist Paul Delvaux, who is both of their favorites. The beautiful vocal textures, electronic beats, and saxophone melodies give the duo’s music a distinctive blend of electronica and organic components. Their music investigates the dynamic between the individual and their environment, the dreamscape and the absolute. Their music transports listeners to a fantastical world where anything can happen. The exotic tunes for the soul created by Dreams of Delvaux will enchant your ears and your imagination.
Dreams of Delvaux launched the electronic EP “Air Without Gravity” on October 11th, 2022. It’s a collection of evocative music, from genres such as neo-soul and EDM. It’s also a fitting homage to art and the subjective consciousness of such a powerful medium. This is felt with the synth-heavy tune “Erase Me,” where mysterious vocals bond with a bit of saxophone and digital arpeggios. Furthermore, songs such as “Broken Mirror” and “Ghosts of Me and Ghosts of You” show the duo’s darker pop side through ambient and upbeat tones.
