Too Far South by ANNAKYE: Review
Alternative and indie rockers ANNAKYE show us what they’ve got with the sensational song “Too Far South.” It’s a high-energy track fueled by a passionate rock rhythm and roaring vocal sections. Altogether, it brings out your emotions—anything that’s been bottled up—and sets them free with an epic cadence. Wait till you hear the entire piece, for ANNAKYE will grab hold of your senses from start to finish.
“Too Far South” opens with a dynamic vocalist signaling the band to come together. They’re followed by a clean guitar intro that, within seconds, transforms into a teeth-grinding and satisfying riff segment. The guitar’s tone is stellar, and the gain is just right. It blends perfectly with the bass guitar’s resonance and the percussion’s drop. It causes a blazing aura where a heated rock presence is felt, and ANNAKYE owns that aspect without any hesitation. This is what’s needed in modern rock, folks: a vitality to generate strong melodies full of force and grit. Thus, I was pleasantly moved by their song, and I hope you will too.
Being an avid fan of alternative rock, my heart goes out to the classic bands of the genre. Dating back to the early 2000s, the pioneers of that category were part of my upbringing. Hence, it inspires me to hear that sound still prominent today with “Too Far South.” That being said, don’t skip this epic number, folks. It is available for streaming after all!
