Electric Avenue releases melodic new song ‘So Alone’
Electric Avenue, a “new” band from Sydney, Australia’s sun-kissed Northern Beaches, was having a great time performing at different music venues. Fans of all ages could relate to the group’s eclectic mix of covers because of the members’ varied backgrounds.
The reception to their debut songs was fantastic; the band members’ varied influences could be clearly heard as they wrote about personally significant topics. Songs about missed chances at love, conquering anxiety, honoring the heroes who give up their time to protect us from fire, looking up from your device and paying attention to the warning signs of climate change, to name a few of the themes touched upon.
‘So Alone’, the band’s upcoming song, is now accessible across all platforms. This song honors all those who were left alone during the gloomy pandemic days. Lead singer Jack Crumlin writes about his mother’s time spent alone with the radio during these long winter nights in Scotland. As she clings to the idea of seeing and connecting with the people she loves once more, the song evokes both sadness and hope.
