Emerald Green by Sophro: Review
“Emerald Green” is an indietronica track by visionary artist Sophro. This intriguing act brings a rather theatrical twist to their music, and it’s accomplished through a rhythm that’s pretty unforgettable. As cinematic as melodies go, this one has a wild synth progression that pertains to cyberpunk and sci-fi too. Thus, join me as I explore the depths of “Emerald Green,” and all the electronic vibrations that come along with it.
Sophro’s melodic technique is all about vibes. One minute you’re feeling relaxed with nothing to worry about, and the next minute Emerald Green’s electro-bass drops excite you enough to run a mile. The essence is real and quite fascinating. This feat is initiated through arpeggios at first, then a smooth vocal presence. Afterward, we dive into the heart of the song where a deep bassline and beats power up the mix. As the song progresses, the vocals speed up, and the synths intensify. This is when that raw cinematic aura arises, and I felt as though witnessing a massive sci-fi flick come to life through Dolby Atmos speakers. Hence, it was truly special, specifically the ending bit when the bassline completely immersed the tune.
Hearing electronic artists shape their music into something futuristic is always a treat. So, I feel the same way about “Emerald Green,” and it seems that techno has truly formed a lifetime bond with the music biz, one which we’ll all celebrate throughout this lifetime.
