Escape by Lettie and David Baron: Review

Synth-wave and the post-punk movement go hand-in-hand and Lettie and David Baron did a fantastic job of combining these two genres. The breathtaking sections where the synths go in full gear deliver a cosmic overdrive that peers into your soul reaches for your hand, and teleports you to an enchanting existence.

The song “Escape” has a synthetic post-punk vibe. Lettie’s lyrical sweetness is brought forth by the contrast between the pounding beats and the delightful synth melodies. The track is seen as something people turn to take a break from the stresses of daily life and focus on their own thoughts. Lettie and David Baron brought out their colorful artistic impressions on this track, and it has forever made its place in my mind as a beautiful composition to make my oncoming days filled with its sounds.

The synthesizer effects from “Escape” are simply marvelous. It has that cross between video game music and cinematic journey music. It’s dramatic, edgy, and with a splash of authenticity that makes it a worthwhile listen. The singer’s voice feels like a serenade that puts a stop to chaos and makes a comfortable melody flow. There’s something internally satisfying about hearing a bassline that just vibes. Thus, in “Escape” the energizing, almost galloping technique of the bassline has this uplifting effect that I believe will allow any listener to experience ascension. All in all, “Escape” is truly a beautiful track full of life and delightful rhythmic structure that no one should miss out on!
