Mexican-American singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Pablo Langaine returns with his ambitious album, FADE IN, as a part of his double album, released August 11, 2025, a bold homage to the golden era of 1990s Britpop. Drawing inspiration from legends like Oasis, Blur, Stone Roses, and Pulp, Langaine channels that raw, melancholic energy through his own cinematic, cross-genre lens, creating a sonic journey that fuses nostalgia with modern emotional clarity. Known for his dynamic performances and genre-blending production, Langaine brings an album as a heartfelt tribute, exploring themes of longing, memory, resilience, and the bittersweet slow burn of fading idealism. The first record, FADE IN, has already landed on Spotify, Apple Music, and Bandcamp, setting the stage for FADE OUT, which will arrive two weeks later.
Opening with the title track, โFADE INโ hits hard with a thumping beat and gritty, buzzing, distorted guitars, immediately signaling the tension and introspection that run through Langaineโs work. His deep, reflective vocals deliver lines like โFading, I see you through the cracks inside my mind,โ capturing the albumโs intimate and moody atmosphere while already racking up over 2.4k plays. By Track 5, โNEVER SIGH AMONGST FRUSTRATIONS,โ Langaine slows things down with heavy, melancholic guitar riffs, pulsing bass, and measured drum thumps, turning the song into a haunting ballad as emotion pulls at the heartstrings. Later, โSLOWLYโ pairs desponden vocals with sparkly, rustling cymbals and weighty guitar layers, as he sings, โSlowly I am breaking the chain of every lie that call my name,โ tearing out the history bitterly.
Across FADE IN, Langaine balances the grunge-tinged energy of Britpop with cinematic textures and introspective storytelling. Stay tuned for the next half of the double album, FADE IN + FADE OUT, to get the most out of this twinned pair.
