Färgstarkare by MIRIAM: Album Review
With the experimental edge of pop music, and the colorful sequences from synthesizers and deep bass lines arrive the sweet and serene voice of MIRIAM. Her album “Färgstarkare” is ten tracks long, and full of juicy melodies that’ll transmit just the right amount of dopamine signals to your nerves.
MIRIAM’s voice is full of flow and sparks a gentle vibe around it. As mentioned before there is an experimental pop nature emanating from the artist’s compositions. There are these subtle colorful synth pieces that are a bit orchestral, and pumping bass lines that are precisely funky. Tracks such as “Hitta Hem” has a severe Coldplay vibe, and MIRIAM’s melodic edge with the rising tension in bright synth pieces and her voice to increase the tempo is a stellar experience. More mellow tunes such as “Barn” has a soft acoustic arrangement playing while the singer lets out a sentimental ode. It has an indie folk essence, which feels like taking a break from all the upbeat hymns of the album.
Reaching the ending song, same as the album’s name, “Färgstarkare” enchanted my soul with wholesome vibes from the echoed piano piece and the chilled-out shaker addition. As the synth arpeggios land, the singer just turns into a full pop queen with the house beat and groovy bass line accompaniment. It feels like a proper sendoff, and I believe it is the most passionate track from the album that just oozes that vibe of ecstasy.
