Favorite Boy by Plant Dad: Review
“Favorite Boy” is about a toxic relationship where you want someone whose toxicity makes them the one in charge of the relationship, while you are only an option, not the main guy. As for his musical inspiration, his influence is Micah E. Wood; after watching him, he wanted to make disco music.
The song starts with an electronic keyboard sound along with bass, drums, and synth, then after a while, it calms down followed by the seductive vocal. It creates a nostalgic atmosphere when everything mellows down. The chorus part is very catchy, which will get imprinted in the listener’s mind. It started off with a disco vibe, changed into pop rock, and then went back to disco again. It is very amusing and fun to listen to. The transitions in this track are so creative and interesting that when you start to hear them, you won’t be able to get up without finishing the song.
The groovy, yet sentimental track “Favorite Boy” will certainly grab some attention in the music industry as it will make you feel a lot of emotions and music, including the vibe of a few old bands. Moreover, it is a very funky and discotheque piece, which will make the listeners dance or at least move their heads in slow rhythms along with the beat of this track. It is a fun and enjoyable track to listen to and dance to, and make the listeners look forward to his new releases.
