Fire by ZOE: Review
ZOE’s track “Fire” is a melodic force where the Australian singer/songwriter truly shines. The song hits the soft spot between genres such as Orchestral Pop, and a bit of Neo-Soul. The musician’s vocal intensity has amazing range and it is certainly appealing.
Hearing the song was an enriching experience. The rhythm pieces and instrumental transitions are quite cinematic. In “Fire”, ZOE really hits those crisp vocal notes with immense emotion. It feels like she is carrying the weight and message of the song with her abilities as a singer, ultimately it’s a fresh outcome. As for the instrumentation, serene orchestras follow the artist, and it adds an uplifting essence. The most endearing aspect of the track lies within its exciting crescendo. ZOE manages to unleash an extended range with her strong voice. While she’s at it, the neo-soul elements of the song come to the forefront with smooth jazz guitar chords, and all of it is quite pleasant to hear!
“Fire” is a melodic representation of a pivotal period in ZOE’s life when she traveled throughout Australia exploring and perfecting her artistic process. The artist’s soulful performance translates into beautiful works of art. The same can be said for the lyrical charm and the singer’s incredible vocal chops. Which are indeed quite elegant with a theatrical and dramatic flow. “Fire” is a remarkable indie-pop number that is touching, and for anyone seeking a thoughtful tune, the song is perfect for that kinda mood.
