‘Freeze’ is Kygo’s new single. The single and video are now available.
Kygo, the global superstar, producer, and DJ, has released his new track “Freeze,” which is available now on RCA Records. The eight-minute production begins with a single piano tune and builds into a sweeping and epic opus, powered by a soulful vocal before exploding in a burst of synths.
The release of “Freeze” comes with a stunning visual accompaniment directed by Rafatoon (Deftones, Becky G, Katy Perry). The music video is an emotional trip through time and space that focuses on a young couple’s connection through their memories. The picture acts as a reminder to freeze and dwell within each precious transitory moment, jumping between past and present as people encounter both joy and adversity.
“‘Freeze’ is a very special record for me,” Kygo said of the album. “I’m always trying out new sounds and styles, and I think this song is unlike anything I’ve ever released.” I’m looking forward to hearing this one from my fans, and I hope they enjoy it as much as I do.”
Kygo collaborated with dance-rock band DNCE to record the bright, funk-fueled tune “Dancing Feet” earlier this year. Kygo will headline festivals like as BottleRock in Napa Valley, Osheaga in Montreal, and Lollapalooza in Chicago this summer, in addition to his ongoing engagement at XS Nightclub in Las Vegas. Kygo will also perform at the second Palm Tree Festival in The Hamptons on June 25th, alongside Disclosure, Claptone, Thomas Jack, Forester, and Haywood, as part of his lifestyle brand Palm Tree Crew. Kygo will play on July 2nd at Ullevaal Stadium, Norway’s largest outdoor stadium, with tickets selling out in a record 10 minutes after going on sale.
