Fruit Basket by Kelsie Kimberlin: Review
The lively melodic passages of “Fruit Basket” by Kelsie Kimberlin are truly electrifying to hear. So many aspects contribute to the brilliance of this track! From the Latin-style rhythm section that has this groovy Spanish scale playing, to the lovely voice of the artist, the song is something truly special!
The track follows this percussion pattern similar to island and beach music. There’s an immense healing and cleansing aura to the track that connects beautifully to the Latin guitar pattern. I honestly found those sections to be quite charming! In variation with the transitions in the track and the diversity of singing, it was a joyous hearing experience. “Fruit Basket” has an abundance of aspects that make it splendid. The spontaneity of the singing, enriching rhythm structure, and overall hopeful tune make the song a memorable one. Music has no bounds, grasping its international take is one of my all-time hobbies. One of my most-explored genres pertains to the history of Spanish music, specifically flamenco. How the strings move across the fretboard all silky smooth is just marvelous to hear! Over the years my taste in music had many unique takes. But, I’ve always resonated with world music, specifically within the Latin genre. There’s just something about the elegance of guitar strings, jumpy percussion segments, and the singer’s allure that breathes new life into the vibes of holiday music.
