Albania-born, London-based artist Arxivn is back with a whole new beginning for him this July 30. His new EP GENESIS drifts the artist to a new kinda music that marks his evolution as an artist.
“Enemies Rise” sets off a soothing immersion over which the beats drop subtly, emanating a vibe that is both hooky and relaxing. The ocean waves sound is a nice effect that connects to the context. But it’s Arxivn’s ranging, versatile vocals that really cut a cord along with his intriguing lyrics. His range goes from an ethereal falsetto to a deep, low voice. The transition is smooth and it keeps you hooked throughout. Ending with a tranquil piano, we arrive at the immersive, contagious and intriguing “20ft Ceilings.”
With glitzy trippy beats only hitting hard and ticking across “20ft Ceilings,” the instrumentals leave Arxivn a space to rap in muffled but sharp layers of electrifying suaveness and smugness. “Origami” is a sharp, sparkling one. He raps with much sharp subtlety and moodiness over AAurelius’s ethereal and immersive vocalizing beleaguering the aural field.
“Tip Toe” is a dancey and engaging one with uplifting beats and rhythm. The synths sway dreamily over the hard, head-nodding beats. The artist’s delivery is more playful and makes you want to hit repeat and sing along. Featuring Srg, his more serious and smug verse with his deep and thick voice gives you just the right amount of dynamism to the already engaging song.
