Guilty By Association by Universal Funk Orchestral: Review
Oregon-based project Universal Funk Orchestral or UFO, is changing the music scenario with their out-of-space jazz, mixing a variety of genres including pop-funk, party rock, hip-hop, and a touch of jazz even. They call their project “an array of intergalactic awesomeness!” and their release “Guilty By Association” is proof of their diverse attempts to give us an aural experience!
Together, musicians Dizzlephunk, Lebrane, Larue, and the Jester sing in such synchronization and pizazz that it sounds like a bop you’d like to groove to. The music video for this is also a fun one as if a group of friends is enjoying the whole experience, playing as big politicians and vibing to their own music. From the first few moments which proceed to a funky electric sound and the bandmates having a good time filming the video, you’ll know this is a feel-good type of party song just waiting for you to join the rhythm.
If you want to check UFO out and keep tabs on them, they’re making it happen at this moment performing live and collaborating in a lot of places. It’s great to see such a fun, hypnotic project putting out such great music and having so much going on because the world really needs more projects like the UFO.
