Half Life by The One Tonic: Review
The One Tonic combines the intensity of alternative rock and electronica on their track “Half Life.” If you enjoy anthemic pieces that give you chills from excitement, then this one should be right up your alley. This is because everything from the vocals to the instrumental sequences has a thunderous presence that should electrify your soul, and have you wanting more.
“Half Life” enters with a heavy techno sequence, with a fat bass line taking command of the rhythm. Side by side, an epic drum sequence plays out, and the chemistry between the two is simply marvelous. In addition to that, a charismatic singer grabs the mic and gives us a performance worth remembering. From slow buildup-verses to incredibly upbeat chorus sections, the vocal attributes are a true work of art. It takes you on a rollercoaster of emotions, and each turn has a fascinating experience to offer. One minute you’re chilling trying to get into the song comfortably, the next you can’t wait to sing along with the artist as they launch into a frenzy of electronic rock. That being said, The One Tonic definitely knows how to put on a show, and boy are they good at it.
