Halos On The Moon by ZADAR feat. Isa Nielsen: Review
ZADAR is an artist whose melodic expression can put listeners in a trance and make them feel the true extent of a song. In “Halos On The Moon” ZADAR combines dark and moody guitar arrangements with a truly spooky atmospheric sequence and features Isa Nielsen. The track evokes a strong vibe of minor chord scales, with some diminished positioning. From the very first listen, I’m sure ZADAR and Isa Nielsen’s performance will make a solid impression.
The guitar notes on “Halos On The Moon” bring out that gothic 19th-century Dracula notion. In combination with the soothing and melancholic vocals, it truly feels like an ominous form of poetry imbued with resonating rhythm surface. The addition of a bassline adds a punchy depth to the character of the track that feels fresh and complete. “Halos On The Moon” sort of reminds me of the wholesome and gloomy ambiance from rock bands such as The Smiths and The Cure. Aside from that, the singer’s ability to tell a story through these mysterious song passages is quite remarkable. Their ability to maintain a baritone style pattern keeps the track in a very original format that fits the artist’s persona.
The Philadelphia-based band ZADAR, led by Antonio G, is known for his sorrowful, guitar-driven music as evident from “Halos On The Moon”. In this single, ZADAR teams up with Isa Nielsen, a singer, guitarist, and composer who has performed on MTV Specials, the MTV Video Music Awards, and worthwhile festivals.
