LA-based alternative outfit “Love Ghost” has dropped their latest single, “Haunted House,” an electrifying and soul-stirring composition that epitomizes the very essence of alternative rock and emo rap.
The track delves into the macabre world of a haunted house, where Love Ghost embodies a sinister host, luring unsuspecting victims inside, while Grammy-nominated artist BrunOG sets the stage with a driving beat for a rousing journey through the haunted house’s ominous corridors.
Love Ghost’s knack for collaboration shines through once again as they join forces with Mexican artist FLVCKKA, incorporating Spanish lyrics into the track to add an extra layer of appeal. The band’s signature guitar-driven instrumentation and hip-hop-style beats, coupled with emotionally charged vocals, give rise to an exceptionally powerful sound.
Frontman Finnegan Bell’s smooth and polished delivery effortlessly blends with FLVCKKA’s rhythmic flows, creating a masterful fusion, enfolded in impeccable production by BrunOG.
The lyrics themselves are filled with chilling elements like chainsaws, killer clown face paint, and the rising of the dead from the ground, all expertly contributing to the eerie ambiance. Yet beneath this spine-chilling surface lies a deeper, more personal dimension.
In the pre-chorus, the narrator candidly exposes the haunting voices in their head, which can be quite unfriendly at times. Yet, amidst the darkness, the chorus emerges as a glimmer of hope, reassuring that despite the haunting circumstances, brighter days are on their way.
“Haunted House” marks a departure from Love Ghost’s previous alt-rock-inspired themes, showcasing their diverse musical abilities and proving that their ambition remains as fresh and unstoppable as ever.
