Heal by President Street: Review
President Street hits the nail on the head about loss, pain, and redemption in their latest single from their upcoming album, Heal. There is only one way to overcome grief and fear, which is you donโt let it consume you and you outgrow it. President Street takes it all and unapologetically releases an ethereal accompanying music video. In this beautiful craftwork, we see a symbolic astronaut, rising sea waves, and a teddy bear in an eerie, mystic aura. The music video is now available on their official YouTube Channel. They use one of my favorite settings ever in a music video: the everlasting tide in a gloomy twilight with uses of cold dark and grey tone, a girl with flying hair on her face, and non-linear abstract storytelling. The song is about finding light in the darkness itself.
Quotable lyrics:
โI run and run and run
From the memories
I run and run
I gotta leave them behind
Yeah I see
Your reflection in me
Youโre the darkest piece
I gotta push you aside
Fighting fighting fighting for my sanityโ
To find the path to self-enlightenment and healing is a hard way, but President Street ensures that they are there to soothe all the listeners that have the chance to give them a try. And once again, they served.ย
Heal by President Street is available on different streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.
