Home by Kris James: Review
“Baby I just wanna come home, Baby I just wanna get back to the arms of my lover again”
Home is not a place. In real sense, home is a person or people. Without them, home is just a house of bricks and cement. When we stay away from home, we grasp what our loved ones truly mean to us. The distance keeps us parted and we have no control over it.
The song “Home” by Kris James is a rhetorical song that has two verges of the story. One is going back to his family and the other is returning to the real home where God shaped us from according to the Gospels.
The song starts with piano progression and gets into a chorus combined with different vocals all together. Returning to our safe havens is what Kris wanted to portray in this song. Our heart craves for that one person or people who calms us even in the darkest of times. Kris wandered around the world but he was missing out on the peace he got from his loved ones. At times, solitude takes a toll on us even when we have everything we ever wanted. Because that is all very materialistic. At the end of the day, we all need a firm assurance that we are valued or probably a hug for instant remedy.
