Honey Made drops energetic new song ‘Upstairs’
The band, which is known for being silly and entertaining, poses the question that is always on everyone’s mind when chasing their crush in the new song. What’s happening upstairs, which is code for “What are you thinking? What’s going on inside your head, dude?” But by the song’s end, when the couple realizes they are interested in one another, the chorus changes to “So, whatcha got going on upstairs?” as they proceed to the bedroom as a couple.
Following the release of their debut album, Brand New, which was produced by Steve Berlin, comes the new song! The band has also released ‘Ashy Pockets’ and the Couple Few EP as they establish their reputation. In retrospect, they say, “This single, ‘Upstairs’, demonstrates the development of our songwriting as a band. We used to be more of a jam band that composed song lyrics. We learned how to concentrate on songwriting rather than showing off our skills on every song after working with Steve Berlin. Willie Barnes II, Chris Barnes, and Donald R. Ford Jr. wrote the new song, and Lee Braverman, Joseph Morrow, and Willie Barnes II composed it. They remark that “Upstairs” is about experiences we’ve all had. That frequently comes up in our songs. We talk about what we know and enjoy telling tales that highlight our shared humanity.”
