Sahara CyberStars rereleased their song “Hope in Everything” as a remix this September 3, because this world right now could really use some hope. Vibrant and soulful, the track embodies how hope must prevail despite the struggles of life.
“Hope in Everything” opens with sparkling beats and whirling tones of brass that feel alive and dynamic, setting a bright and effervescent tone. The brass instruments blow and ripple through the air, creating a celebratory yet reflective mood till it lets it all out and the guitar comes riffing melodically, bringing layers to the composition.
The male vocalist’s raspy and high voice is a standout, acting as much as an instrument as the guitar while carrying a funky tension with a tightness in his delivery. His vocal performance contrasts beautifully with the woman singer’s deep, luscious voice, warming us up with a winding vibrato and soaring highs. The harmonies create an ethereal and atmospheric vibe in the aural field, filled to the brim by the consistent, rustling drums.
The brass section in the bridge is a highlight, as it sings its own tune like it’s telling its own story. It is given life, with which it makes us introspect. Lyrically, “Hope in Everything” asks deep, reflective questions and pushes us to grapple with leadership, inequality, and misery amidst the liveliness of music.
Sahara CyberStars, with this remix of “Hope in Everything,” breathes new life into the music that makes us see hope in everything, even when there are questions lingering.
