Released on February 16, 2026, โHypeโ puts Decadent Heroes and, more specifically, Italian guitarist Luigi Chiappini, right in the driverโs seat with an instrumental rock track that lives up to its title. Chiappini, based in Pescara and already known for his work across several rock projects, clearly knows his way around a fretboard, but what makes this single click is that it is not just a technical flex.
โHypeโ plays with the very idea of seduction and escalation, using different scales, almost like different sales pitches, colours, and moods, each one pulling the listener further in.
From the first bars, โHypeโ comes at you with strong, buzzing, melodic guitars and hard-thumping drums that keep everything nailed to the floor. The rhythm section stays steady, almost stubbornly so, while the guitars do all the talkingโand boy, do they have plenty to say. Chiappiniโs playing swoons, bends, writhes, trails off, then suddenly surges forward again, as if each phrase is trying on a new mask. At one moment, the tone feels sleek and triumphant, then smoky and exotic, then darker and more brooding. That shifting flavour makes sense when you consider the musical language at work here: dorian, phrygian dominant, natural minor, pentatonic. It all feels instinctive and alive.
The production helps seal the deal. There is a big, full-bodied guitar sound throughout, but it never collapses into mush; it stays musical, expressive, and sharp-edged. You can hear the care that went into shaping every note and every bend.
In the end, โHypeโ speaks its own language fluently. For instrumental rock fans, this one is right up your alley.
