Southeast Missouri singer-songwriter Deuce Denninger releases his latest Americana and blues blend, “In The Nights.” Influenced by legends like ZZ Top, The Black Crowes, and Johnny Winter, Denninger delivers a soulful performance that transports us to the heart of the blues.
Recorded at Hopi Lane Productions in Perryville, MO, and expertly mixed and mastered by Tom Roed, “In The Nights” captivates with its mystical electric guitar riffs through the bluer routes of Americana.
The intricate guitar work, led by Denninger himself and Shannon Meyer on lead guitar, captivates and haunts with its bluesy charm right from the opening notes. One of the standout moments of “In The Nights” is the electrifying guitar solo. With each riff and bend, the guitar solo evokes the spirit of the blues pantheon with a contemporary flair. Backed by the rhythmic pulse of Jimmy Brotherton’s drums and Ken E Keller’s bass, the song establishes a steady groove that pulls us in. Accompanied by Tom Roed on keys, the instrumentation on “In The Nights” creates a rich sonic landscape that is both timeless and modern.
Denninger’s thick and sultry vocals are the centerpiece of the song striking with the perfect amount of blue while evoking an energetic and desirable introspection. The backing vocals of Kara Smollen and Joyce Baker Statler infuse soul into the bluesy composition with an ecstatic camaraderie and warmth.
“In The Nights” is only the first single from Deuce Denninger’s upcoming album Rock & Roll, Country Women, and Blues. With more singles on the horizon, stay tuned to rock and roll.
