Italian multi-disciplinary artist Piergiorgio Corallo steps into the music world with In via di sviluppo, his debut album released November 10, 2025 via CD Baby. Known as a painter, sculptor, and photographer, Corallo brings that same tactile, layered sensibility to his sound with his alt-rock guitars against the electronic pulses to create an urban tension threading through everything. He describes the record as a map of transformation where he meets the uncomfortable, electric moments for his identity to be rebuilt.
The opener โNon si vedeโ grows from a slow atmospheric swell, guitars gnawing in the distance before revving forward. The drums enter lightly, holding space as Coralloโs husky voice sings like someone working through something unsaid. Thereโs tension here โ an arrow pulled back inches from releasing and itย inches forward indeed. Right from the jump, the album announces itself as emotional but restrained, simmering rather than spilling.
Later, โSerenataโ turns the dial in a surprising direction, stepping into brighter terrain without losing edge. Pulsating guitars bounce with a restless energy, drums splash and shimmer, and Corallo sings catchily. Itโs like light hitting the eyes in the memory of shadow.
Then, โErase Her Nameโ, the lead single, ties the albumโs emotional thread into something clear and lingering. Vibrant guitars push forward with purpose, drums thump like a steady pulse, and Corallo sings with a melancholy introspection that never collapses into despair. Instead, the track leans into release, retaining the pain that comes with letting go and the strange clarity that follows.
In via di sviluppo is a restless, and human debut that already knows who it is.
