Indigo by Vanda: Review

“Indigo” is a chill indie-pop tune by Vanda. Her voice calms your nerves, and the rhythms accompanying her do just the same. Encompassing a bedroom pop and LoFi outfit, the track has acoustic layers with soothing beats.
Indie pop is one such genre where the ‘dream-like’ sounds have an emphasis. It’s what separates the genre from other facets of indie. Aside from that, lofi and electronica also blend right in with the genre, and that’s what makes Vanda’s song “Indigo” truly precious. Hearing it on repeat got me hooked on its cadence, especially her soft voice. It captivates your soul and is even more heightened when the instruments join her ode. Each passage feels peaceful to hear, primarily due to the track’s lofi melody and laid-back aura. You can easily vibe out to Vanda’s piece on a hot summer’s day by your bedroom window and let the passing breeze hit you. While at it, grab your ideal smoothie and have a great time while hearing “Indigo.” Man, I could use a smoothie right now too.
I had such a wonderful experience hearing “Indigo.” What impressed me the most was how well each instrument came together as a whole and bonded with Vanda’s soulful voice. It may sound simple folks, but trust me that’s a challenging thing to accomplish as a musician. One instrument’s take may not align with the chorus, and you’ve gotta start all over again! The frustration is real, yet it’s what makes this line of biz a worthwhile journey, and I’m glad to have come across Vanda’s one.
