Infinity featuring Mike Clay by Caracol: Review
When it comes to production quality, Caracol and Mike Clay’s “Infinity” is unmatched. The music conjures up images of a samba celebration on the beach, complete with a few close friends and a lot of positive energy to share.
The music on “Infinity” has a sound pertaining to Afro-beat, with the pace of a beach house genre to keep it company. What stands out most about the song is the band’s unmistakable upbeat and happy vibe. The percussion instruments, in particular, give the tune a vibe of the most exciting island-hopping vacation you’d be crazy to miss out on. The vocals in this song are vibrant and have a lovely, effortless flow. All in all, the song’s lyric-free vocal lines, such “tada ta tah,” give it a refreshingly breezy summer accent. I enjoy how the song’s moderate tempo keeps you on your toes, telling your brain that the time has come to let loose and dance.
Caracol is a bilingual artist that pursues her own course in the music biz. The Montreal-based songwriter/producer, whose parents are Uruguayan and Swiss, was recently nominated for a Canadian Indie Award (Electronic Artist of the Year). Caracol and Mike Clay (of the band Clay & Friends) collaborated on Infinity, to make it a beautiful tribute to liberty. With the assistance of beat maestros Quiet Mike (Fouki) and Seb Ruban (Studio de l’Est), they put their rhythmic wits together to combat any woes that may come your way!
