Jocelyn & Chris drop electrifying new track ‘Black and Blue’
The electrifying new single from Jocelyn & Chris’ eighth studio album, “Favorite Ghosts,” ‘Black and Blue’ was written and produced by the Harvard-born blues-rockers. The newest single from Jocelyn & Chris, who are known for putting a “millennial spin on classic rock” (TODAY), is a sultry, stark electro-blues track that delicately balances attraction and obsession on the tip of a contemporary rock knife. Chris’s magnetic rock guitar and Jocelyn’s commanding vocals pull you under – down, down, down. The sweetest dream comes to you in the darkest night, but you can’t let go. Would you want to let go, even if you could?
According to Jocelyn, “Black and Blue began as a fairly simple blues-rock song. However, once we had it in the studio, it really steered us in a direction that was completely uncharted for us.” Chris furthers, “Although you would expect a song like this to have a strong guitar presence, there is also a very deep, layered electronic element that completely changes the direction of the song. Fortunately, our producers David [Bourgeois] and Joel [Moss] were prepared to take risks. And I’m so glad we did because we came up with what I consider to be the best blending of my voice and Chris’s guitar on the entire album.”
