Ever thought you would hear your favorite artists like Led Zeppelin, Audioslave, System of a Down, or Bob Dylan in a foreign language as outlandish and culturally antipodal as Arabic? Lazywall brings you a combination of all your favorite artists merged into one bandโthat too, a Moroccan band.
Lazywall, an oriental-slash-occidental metal and rock trio comprised of three brothers, brings you something bizarre and straight out of the box. Being all these things simultaneously in the most artful way, they radiate a force to be reckoned with within themselves. And they are catching fire just as wellโbut hereโs why itโs not enough.
Kan Hez Yeddi, a single freshly released just this 31st of March in 2023 by Lazywall, features a mysterious, enchanting guitar strum and thick, unique, engaging, and trance-inducing male vocals. With the chord progressions, we sense a psychedelic vibe emanating from grunge, touching on the sonic aesthetic with the gnarled tone of the vocals and the slower tempo getting bleaker with the music.
The rhythm formulation and the controlled bassline are what also help Kan Hez Yeddi retain its depth and vigor. The drums definitely balance it out by replenishing the ambiance with a sound that brings the darkness to a cathartic phase. Then we are brought to a hypnotic guitar solo exhibiting some erratic measures to the lifeline of the darkness, intensifying it by the turn and quickening the tempo at the same time.
Lazywall is your next big band to watch out for because we see them coming for the chart holders if they keep up the good work. But for now, I definitely recommend listening to Kan Hez Yeddi.
