KAVOS released serene new song โDubious Claimโ
Constantine Campbellโs doctoral studies in 2023 focused on the fusion of jazz with Greek rebetika music. As a result of these studies, the band KAVOS was born in 2023. Campbell, who is half Greek, is interested in discovering more about his ethnic heritage and hopes to do so by fusing his primary love of jazz with Greek music.
The first studio album released by KAVOS is titled โPirates of Piraeusโ, and it features original music that was inspired by the rhythms, melodies, and spirit of Greek rebetika music. Campbell (saxophones and vocals) is joined by some of the best musicians in Canberra, including Lachlan Coventry (bouzouki), Llewellyn Osbourne (violin, keyboard), Christopher Pound (double bass), and Nick McBride (vocals and double bass) (drums). All streaming services currently carry the album in their catalogues. They alsojust released a mesmerizing new song โDubious Claimโ.
