Keep The Wolves Away ft. Ulli Kilberth by THE HYBRIS: Review

Three close comrades comprise the international alternative rock band The HYBRIS. Initially, all members resided in Germany, and they have known each other for ages. Their musical roots are heavily inspired by their participation in a variety of punk, rock, pop, and hardcore bands.

Then, for professional or familial reasons, the trio dispersed globally; presently, they reside in Los Angeles and Cologne, Germany. Interestingly enough, they independently compose and produce everything in a virtual recording studio. THE HYBRIS’ track “Keep The Wolves Away” featuring Ulli Kilberth is a powerful anthemic rock song that has a howling presence.

Through the drummer’s energetic rage and the guitarist’s fierce determination, we witness the band’s passion in the rock song “Keep The Wolves Away”. The track has a nice combination of clean guitar notes countered by fast-paced distorted riffs. I enjoyed how the song’s entrance gradually built itself into a solid melodic crescendo. The singer’s screaming style pertains to the genre appeal of Glam metal/rock. It has a form of pizazz and style that adds a nice touch of catchiness to the track.

“Keep The Wolves Away” has a vibrant alternative rock feel, it is quite refreshing to hear each member of the band represent their piece masterfully. It was a woke experience in the form of true rock, especially the raw intensity of the guitar riffs which were my favorite bits!
