Keepinโ Eyes by Nicole Saphos Band: Review
The music of Nicole Saphos Band is a combination of Lofi, art rock, and minimal indie. The artistโs track โKeepinโ Eyesโ is a groovy tune filled with sections of a deep resonant bass, math rock guitar chords, and a soothing voice on the mic.
In its entirety the songโs tempo starts off with a pretty chill essence, the crescendo builds up eventually though. The main instrument keeping all the others in check is the bass. Surrounding the rhythm and keeping it intact, the bass lines are funky and incorporate a bit of a kick. Aside from that, delightful and almost kaleidoscopic guitar passages exist as fillers. The tone is extremely mysterious and meditative. Involving the use of reverb, echo, and clean tones with heavy gain, itโs a joy to hear through and throughout. As for the singing portions, it follows a traditional indie pattern. This pertains to a mix of rebellious singing countered by more emotional themes. Evidently, from the very first note, it feels like the artist declares their melodic standpoint. And man, speaking of the first note, the intro is immensely magical. The drive comes in with the bass guitar, but once the dreamy guitar chords enter it takes you on this wave of musical bliss.
โKeepinโ Eyesโ by Nicole Saphos Band is a charming track, that has a subtle mixture of art and passion. If you ever wanted to hear minimal funk music, with a dash of indie, this track should totally be up your alley.
