Neo Soul and Hip Hop cross paths in Finite Galaxy’s mesmerizing track “Kismat.” Bilingual poetry at its finest, each verse on “Kismat” has vibrant lyrics that are guaranteed to amplify your spirit. In addition to that, ethereal synths and jazzy beats keep the song’s essence intact and form a unison with each rapper’s flow.

From the very moment you hit play, Finite Galaxy strikes a groove without wasting a single second. Kismat’s explosive aura arrives with a deep bassline, and a rebellious rapper grabbing the mic. Keeping this sensational ode balanced is a smooth rhythm section. Ambient synthesizers enter the mix and add a fresh layer to this fire track. Rap has always been a confident genre in my opinion. Something about an artist’s fast-paced technique spoke volumes about their ability to win an argument, or just be the toughest person in the room. Finite Galaxy’s tune resonated in that same regard, this is because the artist’s voice and choice of words carried a powerful weight. It’s almost like consuming an elixir filled with optimism and drive.

In recent decades, the core of Hip Hop music has diverged from classic gangsta roots into contemporary settings such as Neo Soul. That doesn’t mean the previous elements are forgone, but rather exist in harmony with the others. Diversity is valuable in music, and Neo Soul surely made a nice impact on the Hip Hop biz. Evidently, this is where “Kismat” makes a stand, and the result is truly stellar.
