Late Bloomer by Leah Ashton: Album Review
The Album “Late Bloomer” by Leah Ashton is her debut album which was released on 9th September 2022. The album is a mixture of soul, jazz, funk, and blues genre.
The soulful bass line and drums beat complimented the songs of the album “Late Bloomer” and the sweetness of the piano with her full-of-life vocal made the album complete. It is a very mellow and meaningful album with catchy tunes and powerful lyrics. The lyrics of the album talk about how most people feel when they are not where they are supposed to be or not backing down. Especially after the COVID situation more or less everyone is feeling the same emotional dread. This song will uplift those who are feeling that way. The listeners can relate and can feel better about themselves because they are not the only ones who are suffering, others are going through it too.
Ultimately the dynamic of her vocals, and the way she used it in the songs is breathtaking, while the smooth sound of the saxophone and the piano with everything else gives the album a unique perspective. She can hit the correct notes at the correct time. It feels like she was playing with the vocal line with ease. The accessible nature of the songs and the relatable theme of the struggles of the post-covid era make this album an easy recommendation.
