โLemonadeโ by indie rock 4-piece Solar Jam is a vibrant anthem that Maroon 5, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Alex Turner fans should definitely check out. The song grooves an underlying message beneath the dynamic and earnest musicality.
From the beginning, the track sets a lively tone with groovy guitar work that introduces intriguing and playful rhythms. The drums contribute a rock edge to the song, providing a thumping backbone along with lively cymbals. The singer raps and glides in the verses, creating an effortlessly catchy vibe that keeps us engaged.
As the song progresses to the chorus, it takes a soaring turn, infusing the energy of rock into the mix. The vocals surge with power and complement the lively instrumentation. I personally love the bridge, where the singer shifts to a lower register, delivering rap verses with a sultry and breathy catchiness. This was definitely hooky.
โLemonadeโ is more than just a feel-good track though. The lyrics intriguingly speak about food price hikes. They are delivered with this intriguing take that makes you question and dance to the beat at the same time. It is quite empowering this way.
Solar Jam is frontman Joe Jackson, drummer Nick Davies, Harry Brown on bass, and Jacob De Jongh on guitar. With 2024 coming up, the band has already made some executable resolutions. Donโt be surprised to find them at festivals rocking to their signature tunes while improvising with unique changes.
Till then, letโs stick to drinking their zesty โLemonadeโ up till we are soaked.
