Leo Rispal released a new single “Team”
Leo Rispal was raised in Roanne and was born in Saint-Etienne on August 2000. He was inspired to music from an early age after hearing The Wizard of Oz and Judy Garland’s masterful performance of Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
He naturally became a part of a local theater group when he was six years old, performing with them frequently in musical plays. He competed in L’รฉcole des Stars (Direct 8), a singing competition that was broadcast on French television in 2009 and featured the young Louane Emera. Leo won the competition and rocketed to the top of the media world. In 2010 and 2011, he participated in two primetime TV productions on the top European TV network TF1 called Le Grand Show des Enfants, which featured a mix of choreographed group numbers, duos, and solo interpretations.
He and Gary Fico jointly recorded the chart-topping signing duet Le mรชme que moi (Urban pop/Wagram) in January 2011. The teenage vocalist was once again thrust to the forefront of the scene by the music video and song, both of which received extensive radio and television airplay. From that point forward, the artist’s fan base grew stronger.
He joins the Pop’s Cool group in 2012, which is created by Canal J, a children’s entertainment channel (M6 Group). The band gave about a dozen performances at La Cigale in Paris before performing the soundtrack to the movie Tad, The Lost Explorer.
The same year, Leo Rispal published his debut solo EP, Wagram, which had two of his own songs, Andy Warhol and 1, 2, 3, as well as two covers, Last Christmas and J’veux du soleil.
Leo was able to get some notoriety among the 7 to 14-year-olds, who are now between the ages of 18 and 25 thanks to these successes. Leo Rispal continued to play on stage with his troupe from Roanne despite his experiences on the international stage, and he also posted several covers on social media. Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, Whitney Houston, as well as prominent figures from the past (Yebba, Beyoncรฉ, Ariana Grande, and Charli XCX) and present (Fleetwood Mac) as influences, Leo Rispal presents very personal pop music where his warm and strong voice maintains a particular place. Ten years after his last release, at the start of the summer of 2022, he releases the single Team, a song with hip-hop influences that he created and recorded.
