San Francisco-based indie pop artist Michellar brings a much-needed dose of sunshine with her latest single “Let’s go move around,” released on May 9, 2025. Co-produced with Romanian beatmaker Marius Alexandru, the track blends organic warmth with modern production flair—a song tailor-made for spring playlists and soul resets.
From the very first beat, “Let’s go move around” makes its intentions clear. It opens with a sharp, energizing pulse, thrusting beats layered with shimmering instrumentals and a breathy hum that hints at both tension and release. Then comes Michellar’s vocal: relaxed yet introspective, like the first deep breath of a new season. Her remarkably soothing delivery is gentle but uplifting, like sunlight through windows after months of winter gray.
Lyrically, the song captures that in-between feeling of leaving cold days behind and leaning into something freer and brighter. “I wanted to create a song that reflected awakening,” Michellar says, “whether that’s a spring vacation, a garden moment, or a brand-new adventure.” You can feel that intention: the melody has a light, floating quality.
Written and recorded in Michellar’s San Francisco home studio and polished across the world in Romania, modern music-making has become increasingly flexible and accessible. Despite its humble recording setup, the track sounds crisp, cohesive, and radio-ready.
Having already released 25 original songs in the past 10 months, Michellar is clearly an artist in motion—both literally and creatively. With a Latin-influenced EP (Mi Alma Latina) on the horizon, her momentum shows no signs of slowing. For now, though, “Let’s go move around” is the perfect soundtrack for anyone ready to bloom.
