Lieu drops groovy new track ‘Fuck You Money’
This song is the reflections of Sleep and Lieu as they compose music in their outdoor studio cabin during a lockdown, dreaming of a time when they can perform live shows and travel the globe while earning and spending their aforementioned ‘Fuck You Money’. The song also discusses sleeps cousin’s viewpoint on the music industry and how it treats rap artists. how it promotes big spending and temporary wealth.
The last ten years have seen Lieu, a fully self-taught bedroom producer, largely go unnoticed in the public eye until he teamed up with Sleep’s Cousin, when they both really came into their own. Sleep’s only notable appearance at this point was on Fubar Radio with MysDiggi.
Since then, the duo has become well-known both locally and nationally after performing at venues like the BBC Intro, Cambridge Junction Mainroom, and Latitude Festival. The duo has collaborated with some big names on songs that are coming out this year and has supported artists like Skinnyman, Cosmo Pyke, and Flintmoore. The two give the rap genre a fresh approach, personalizing it while having fun.
