Solo artist Proklaim takes a joyful turn on his latest single, “LIFE.” This optimistic track shows us something different from his usual hard-hitting style. This celebrates life’s potential while helping us focus on the positive and keep moving forward.
“LIFE” throws a sonic curveball right from the start. Organic, exotic drums create a fresh, inviting atmosphere, while a peaceful melody soars peacefully above and relaxes us into the “right frame of mind.” The song is much more optimistic and enjoyable than his graver and deep songs, which are also great but he makes the mood much less hard-hitting here.
Proklaim himself doesn’t stray far from his signature lyrical style. He’s still the wise and insightful wordsmith we know and love. But here, he delivers his message over a much catchier rhythm, making his verses even more engaging. The infectious chorus, “It’s really all about the frame of mind,” is a mantra for positive thinking that tells us that our perspective has the power to shape our reality.
Thematically, “LIFE” is all about perseverance. Proklaim raps about making the right moves, staying focused, and never giving up on your dreams. It’s a message of encouragement for you if you are feeling lost or discouraged.
Proklaim’s passion for music is evident in every word he raps which reflects his ideology of music being a stimulant for social consciousness and sparking positive change, and “LIFE” is a testament to that belief. Proklaim gets his inspo here from Daft Punk and other hip-hop legends like Bob Marley, Lauryn Hill, Tupac, etc. Stay tuned, if that’s your thing.
