With over 400,000 views, streams, and 3500 plays, Life is a Dirty War by the Lunar Keys has entertained 400 radio streams from BBC Wales, Amazing Radio, and BBC Introducing. Other than this track, four other singles were highlighted as Track of The Week by BBC Introducing. If that isn’t a testament enough to the band’s expertise, then what is?
Released just last week on the 24th of March, Life is a Dirty War grabbed everyone from the first note with a peaceful piano and unified upfront singing of The Lunar Keys that goes like this: “I won’t live like that no more/ I have escaped from this before/ You can’t break me to the core/ Life is a Dirty War.”
The Lunar Keys’ brand of raw and unapologetic rock music is on full display here, with driving guitar riffs and energetic vocals that immediately get your heart pumping. Until the titular line, all was tranquil. As soon as the lead vocalist touched on the last word, “war,” we hear the first bang of the drum, and the hypnotic and addictive play of the electric guitar elevates us to higher ground.
The Lunar Keys have just started on their route, and it looks like they are winning it headlong with their fantastic rock melody, progressively charged guitars, and grounded drum beats from the back in the single, “Life is a Dirty War.”
What’s really realistic about this song is that it addresses the struggles in life, and instead of sugarcoating them, the lyrics just approach them with resilience. Keep your eyes on The Lunar Keys because they resemble visionaries in the music industry.
