Lipstick Muse by HOL: Review
“Lipstick Muse” is a fantastic rock track combined with the aura of shoegaze. The instrumental patterns are imbued with electrifying guitar riffs, while the vocals have that distinct echo tone that the genre is well known for. All in all, the chemistry is pretty stellar and is led by the musical act HOL. Their melodic structures are top-notch and the compositions will definitely resonate with the rocker in you.
HOL is one part 90s rock, and another part the bloom of shoegaze in the early 2000s. This blend of cadence is pretty nostalgic as I grew up idolizing bands who draw in that tone. Thus, “Lipstick Muse” is a perfect representation of that era through its evocative songwriting and creative instrumental pieces. Let’s get into the songwriting first, well, if you enjoy catchy vocal segments that are easy to vibe with, then you’ve come to the right place. Each verse and chorus is superb and has you in a trance you won’t forget easily. As for the rhythm parts, the instruments have brilliant synergy. Everything from the guitars to the basslines works together to create something beautiful, and the result is outstanding.
Ladies and gents, if you’re an avid rocker with a room full of your favorite band posters, then feel free to jam out to “Lipstick Muse” by HOL. It’s a thrilling rock track that anyone can resonate with, so whatcha waitin’ for?
