The Chainsmokers have released their latest track, “Riptide,” a futuristic pop tune just weeks after releasing their new album.
According to the song’s liner notes, “Riptide” has a long number of collaborators, including Whethan, Emily Warren, and Coldplay’s Chris Martin. In terms of passionate songwriting, it’s a typical Chainsmokers record, exploring the desire to spend as much time with a significant person as possible.
Drew Taggart of The Chainsmokers sings, “But if I only get one life, this is what I want to accomplish.” “And if I only have one life to live, I want to spend it with you.”

“Riptide” is the third single from So Far So Good, which will be released in its entirety on May 13th. The duo just issued a teaser for the album, revealing that the title comes from a passage from La Haine, a 1995 French crime thriller film.
The Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall said in the teaser, “We’re more proud of this record than, I think, anything we’ve ever created.” “It’s just because it’s so us,” she explains.
The Chainsmokers also threw a party live from Pall’s kitchen for a YouTube stream to promote the record. They performed a few songs off the album, including “In Too Deep,” an unreleased single.
