Maria Hubbel Releases Catchy Synth-Pop Song “Shadow Man”
Maria Hubbel is a lovely pop artist making music reminiscent of the 1980s. Her track “Shadow Man” pays homage to that era through amazing synth pieces and a nostalgic tone. It was released on March 22nd and has been gaining popularity ever since. I can totally understand why! Because the 80’s sound is making a comeback, and Maria’s resonant track is ideal for anyone wishing for a trip back in time.
“Shadow Man” was composed and produced in Maria’s home studio. She did a terrific job creating a tune with such a rich melody. This is evident from the vocal layers and instrumental prowess. Speaking of which, there are some interesting themes present that I would very much love to get into. For starters, the song’s title and album art are dark and spooky. Being a fan of horror cinema, and especially the science fiction-based ones from the 1980s, pushed me to enjoy “Shadow Man” even more. The track starts off with this eerie synthesizer section, which pertains to the idea of classic jump scares, and then moves onto a more upbeat portion. Here, you can easily groove out to the synth-wave rhythms, all the while fear-induced lyrics carry on. Imagine MJ’s Thriller, but more Scooby-Doo with synth-wave disco, and voila! Shadow Man has appeared!
