The one-man project Me & Melancholy, created by musician and producer Peter Ehrling, explores the world of electronic music with a focus on melancholy, synth-based sounds. Me & Melancholy, a Stockholm, Sweden-based synthpop and new wave band that evolved from Grรคnsen in 2022, is inspired by some of the most important synthpop and new wave bands of the 1980s and 1990s, such as Depeche Mode, New Order, and Camouflage, as well as Swedish synth acts like The Mobile Homes and Elegant Machinery.
Each Me & Melancholy release has a distinctive sound that combines vintage and modern elements to create a nostalgically upbeat and reflective atmosphere.
